Pet Screening
Household Pets, Assistance and Service Animals
- Before proceeding, make sure the property you prefer allows pets. This information can be found in the property description or confirmed with the Property Manager. Please note that application fees and third-party fees are non-refundable, regardless of pet permission.
If you wish to have pets (except approved Service/Assistance Animals), you must obtain written permission from the Landlord. An addendum to the lease, a non-refundable pet fee, and additional monthly pet rent will be required. We use a third-party service, PetScreening, to ensure all applicants understand how to adhere to the property’s pet and animal policies, even if you do not have a pet or animal. All applicants should complete a Pet, No Pet, or Animal Profile. For more details, visit: https://goldenpenpm.petscreening.com/
Pets other than dogs and cats, such as birds, guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, gerbils, and small reptiles, will be assessed individually by the Management.
There will be a one-time fee of $125 for each of these approved animals, which should be paid at the time of move-in. Fish are allowed with maximum 5 gallons fish tank (refer to the Pet Policy section of the Rental Application Policy), and they do not require the payment of the pet fee.
Our current pet policies include: See FIDO scores below for monthly pet fees/pet application fees and non-refundable pet deposit. No aggressive dogs, 2 pets per household can be added to the lease with the Management’s approval.
*NOTICE TO ALL RESIDENTS & APPLICANTS: Everyone must complete the screening process. This is not only for pet and animal owners but also for residents and applicants that DO NOT own a pet or animal.
**Certain breeds, such as Pit bull, Doberman pinscher, Rottweiler, German shepherd, Chow Chow, Great Dane, Presa canario, Akita, Alaskan malamute, Siberian husky, Wolf-hybrid, and dogs weighing over 100 pounds, will receive NO paws.
